Joe Smarrelli joined Boys & Girls Village in 2014 as a seasoned professional with a diverse portfolio spanning multiple industries, including Hospitality, HVAC, Construction, Investor, and Project management.

Joe is responsible for providing direction and oversight for facility operations & maintenance, capital improvements & project management, environmental services, landscape services, facility safety, and food & cafeteria operations.

Joe has led numerous high-impact projects, leveraging his technical and management knowledge, including assisting in the development of a Vocational Learning Center, a 6-bed respite home in Bridgeport, and an Upper School Expansion in Milford. As a construction manager, Joe has a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Joe studied Hotel & Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University. Joe went on to graduate from TCI (Technical Career Institute), where he studied HVAC.

Known for his ability to balance technical expertise with strategic leadership, Joe has made lasting contributions with a commitment to innovation, quality, and community impact.

Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, trade hobbies, hiking, fitness, and music.
